Pirates set up shop south of McCathlyre!
LAND GRAB
Captain Jamal, a widely known figure in the pirating world has laid claim to the sparsely inhabited island chain south of McCathlyre. They have been dubbed “The Free Islands” by the captain, who has placed an open invitation for any and all pirates to come and take up arms to defend their rights to pillage in peace. The islands have been undeveloped territories for the kingdom for many years. According to royal economic advisor to the king the islands are Currently only inhabited by a few native tribes whom the kingdom was having difficulty taxing anyway. Will the kingdom respond with a military force? Or will they sit back and let the den of sin begin?
“Yarr I’m just happy to be a parrrt if somethin’ biggerr yah know?” Says career-deckhand Merl Sedgwick.
He plans on making his way to the islands just as soon as he can find his way off this barstool.

GORTHAK UNITES ORC CLANS
Reports of abductions coming in! Gorthak proclaimed leader of all orc clans!
ABDUCTIONS
Abductions reported in Thorhofn city.
“Every single day we get more reports coming in with abductions” “Not just women either, doesn’t seems to be a sex thing” Says Shamus Greerson, Captain of the watch.
Just last week, a witness proclaimed they saw a group of people wearing black cloth over their faces, taking people into the bushes behind the city gates. This is not the first time groups of people like this have been reported.
When the guards investigated the area the witness mentioned, there was nothing to be found.
When Rugby’s Gazette reached out to the witness, we were told she was missing now as well.
A CALL HOME
Former Nayeshe tribe leader Gorthak has been proclaimed ruler of the Orc clans Sunday morning. Tribal howling and celebrations could be heard from all who dared to venture near the newly proclaimed Orc Lands. Gorthak has issued a “call to return home” to all displaced members of any and all orcs. Blooding ceremonies and sacrifices have been taking place since his declaration. “For too long our brothers and sisters have lived as hated wretched creatures!”
The Squiylian cities of Morfi, Mever, and Holde have been captured and enslaved by Gorthak’s forces.

Florenta man stops brawl by running everyone over with cart
STREET JUSTICE
It was just your typical 3 a.m. street fight outside of a bar in Florenta, Binneth until one Florenta Man went and ran everybody over.
Reports state that a group of guys were fighting around a few parked carriages outside of a bar that night.
According to locals, the driver of the cart was involved in the fight and trying to leave, but failed to complete the turn in the narrow street.
He smashed one fighter straight through the front windows of The Bad Monkey Bar.
After the incident, the driver of the cart fled the scene. The man who was driven into the bar suffered a minor leg and head injury, and the bar was stuck with 5,000 gold in damages.
If you have any information about the Florenta Man who performed the hit and run, please contact Florenta city guards at once.
Binneth lands see first signs of orcish invasion!
ORC IN CHAINS
After encountering an Orc scouting party, Binneth’s Royal-Elites managed to capture one of the Orcs, the larger of the lot which seemed to be their leader. The captive spoke of Gorthak, the powerful Orcish warlord that had united the clans into a mighty horde, which he was convinced would conquer the entire continent.
ORC SCOUT CAPTURED
The captive had in its possession a sending stone of sorts, a magical device with which it could communicate with its commanders. The royal-elites now make their way back to Beisfjord, to present their captive and their reconnaissance to Captain Vakrum. They are expected to arrive at midday today.
This is the first time the Orcish invasion of Squiyles has been seen on Binneth land. What does this mean for the impending war with the north? Rugby’s Gazette with be following closely folks!
