Continuing directly from the session’s first half, Todd pressed on alone through Castle Ravenloft’s upper dungeon while the rest of the party rested below at dangerously low HP, unable to safely move or fight @ 00:02:46–00:04:06. He avoided a spiderweb-choked room and fixated on a pulsating red light deeper in as his next objective @ 00:02:51–00:03:14. The party glimpsed part of a stairwell on the map before broken dynamic lighting brought exploration to a halt; with six hours already played, Pat called the session there @ 00:18:11–00:22:21.
In recap, the table agreed their last two encounters had nearly been party wipes: the ghost/ghoul ambush while resting should have killed everyone and was stopped only because Rich’s android turned out immune, with no mechanic for Pat to finish him off @ 00:22:33–00:57:14. They also recalled Donovan’s betrayal and a separate, earlier capture by a less lethal group of ghosts who caged and aged the party and stole their copy of the Tome of Strahd @ 00:23:43–00:35:05.
