Also heard as: Cadillac Daddy-O, Cadillac Huggins

A fox-person crime boss and the city’s head guard, confirmed a doppelganger; marked kill-on-sight by Mitch Copperhead for the bank job, but survives every encounter with the party so far. Leads a gang marked with a green bee insignia. Rugby’s Roaming Gazette, unaware of any of this, names him “Captain Cadillac Huggins” and praises him as a dedicated hero of Godoy’s police force.

History

  • Named kill-on-sight target of the heist by Mitch Copperhead, who first describes him as the city’s head guard and a doppelganger 2023-09-12 @ 02:16:04; later confirmed a doppelganger/changeling by Mary @ 03:02:24.

  • Leads his own crew looting the bank vault ahead of the party; grapples and nearly captures Pat; counters his Magic Missile via an ally mage; kills his own unconscious ally “Big Sleepy” with an opportunistic attack; escapes under cover of his own wizard’s Darkness spell 2023-10-01 @ 01:18:33, @ 02:49:08, @ 04:12:40.

  • Scried on by Pat for seven minutes; shown privately planning to purge and re-vet changelings near the king now that most of Godoy’s changeling population is dead; his mage group’s sigil matches the Lutathal city guards’ 2023-10-24 @ 00:49:09–00:54:54, @ 01:25:59.

  • The Gazette, dated DEC 19 4885 — before Godoy’s destruction, which it never anticipates — names “Captain Cadillac Huggins” as a revered officer safeguarding the city and its bank amid a guard shortage caused by an overly strict vetting process 2023-09-24. See Godoy.

Unresolved

Whether the fox-person seen arguing with bank tellers early in episode 2 is Cadillac himself or a separate NPC/Fish’s character is ambiguous in the transcript 2023-10-01 @ 00:20:15.

The Gazette’s puff-piece framing of “Captain Cadillac Huggins” as a dedicated hero directly contradicts his reality from the sessions — a doppelganger crime boss who grapples and nearly captures a party member, murders his own unconscious ally, and escapes under cover of darkness. The paper simply doesn’t know what he is. Recorded here as dramatic irony, not resolved one way or the other 2023-09-24.
