Recap
An interlude, DM’d by Pat rather than Jake, with no established connection to the rest of this campaign (see jakedm Unresolved). Wizard-professor Jace Gandolfini of Hawthorne College finds library evidence that a demi-lich believed destroyed may still be alive with its hoard, and a field report about a newly surfaced map to the legendary Tomb of Horrors. He summons his old friend Sarkhan Vol back from the front of the Changeling War. The map turns out to be a self-replicating illusion; after Professor Bumblebee backs out shaken by a nightmare, Jace and Sarkhan share an identical dream in which a skeleton child offers each of them a Revelation Crystal. Using the crystals, Sarkhan dispels the map’s illusion, revealing a route to the Tomb of Horrors at the center of the Isle of Death, a region shrouded in a constitution-draining miasma. The pair spend the next day at Hawthorne’s crafting workshop bartering and buying their way into bottles of air and a scroll of Concealed Breath, preparing to depart for the Isle.

This session is slugged “Copperhead the Doppelganger” and filed under this campaign, but neither term nor any matching character appears in the transcript, and it is DM’d by Pat while Jake plays a character — the opposite of every other session in this campaign. It may be mislabeled or misfiled. No later session revisits the Tomb of Horrors expedition.
