DungeonVice (2025)
A 2025 campaign DM’d by Jake, following a team of city inspectors — part detective squad, part magic-powered task force — working cases for the Council of Turgeth. Only session 3 has been transcribed and extracted so far; sessions 1 and 2 are not yet in the archive, so the party’s formation and earlier cases are unknown. As of session 3 the campaign is mid-arc, hunting a new troll crime lord and dangling a lead on a devil-bargain and a city-wide drug conspiracy.
The party
- Rich (played by Rich) — Rich’s Monk (DungeonVice), a monk (Crane Style, Stunning Strike, flurry of blows); carries the party’s shared platinum piece in his handy haversack.
- Nutty (played by Nutty) — Nutty’s Arcane Combatant (DungeonVice), an arcane combatant wielding a bladed tail weapon, casting Web and a touch-spell/weapon combo nicknamed “Washashaka.”
- Ozan (played by Ozan) — Ozone, a bard-type with a disguise kit/hat of disguise, a net as signature weapon, and Glitter Dust.
- Pat (played by Pat) — Pat’s Wizard (DungeonVice), a wizard, mostly absent in session 3.
Not present in session 3: Donnie, Jess, Connor — unknown whether they have characters in this campaign.
Timeline
- Sessions 1–2 — not yet recorded/transcribed.
- 2025-03-31 — The inspectors interrogate a prisoner who engineered her own capture to hunt a golden ticket to hell, learn the drug Maka is secretly run by the College of Turgeth, and raid a dockside warehouse belonging to The Boot, killing Fugly (nicknamed “the captain” by the players mid-fight — see The Guard Captain) before the Boot escapes by ship — session ends mid-chase.
Major threads
Resolved
- The warehouse raid itself — guards killed, Fugly dead, the warehouse burned 2025-03-31
Dangling / open
- Hunt for the Boot — the Boot himself escaped by ship, last seen with Rich in pursuit, hasted and ethereal, as the ship left harbor.
- Retrieve the Golden Ticket — the prisoner’s one-way pass to the devil holding her husband Riggs’s soul was never retrieved.
- College of Turgeth Drug Pipeline — the college is secretly the source of the drug Maka, worth ~75,000 gp/week; not yet investigated directly.
- Aqueducts Assignment — offered by Volto at the top of the session, not pursued.
Unresolved
Sessions 1 and 2 of this campaign have not yet been transcribed/extracted, so the party’s origin, how they became inspectors, and any earlier cases are unknown.
