Also heard as: the captain
“The captain” is Rich and Nutty’s own mid-fight nickname (never used by Jake as DM) for the tough, twin-bladed fighter who followed Rich’s Monk (DungeonVice) downstairs and critically wounded him.
History
- Follows Rich’s Monk (DungeonVice) downstairs and critically wounds him for 36 damage 2025-03-31 @ 01:52:32-01:53:30.
- Finished off by Nutty’s Arcane Combatant (DungeonVice) (flanked, killed with the Washashaka shocking-grasp attack); Rich then loots his Boots of Haste from the corpse 2025-03-31 @ 02:47:44-02:48:42.
DM notes (spoiler)
Jake tells the players (OOC) this guard was likely a level 10-11 fighter, info the characters never learn in-game 2025-03-31 @ 02:55:27-02:57:32.
Unresolved
This page likely does not describe a separate NPC at all. The only named enemy Rich meets in this part of the warehouse is Fugly (named by Jake @ 01:39:20); Rich runs past him, doubles back to fight him properly @ 01:41:11, and Jake’s narration still calls him “the orc” mid-fight @ 01:48:40 — right before this same enemy follows Rich down the stairs @ 01:52:32 and crits him. “The captain” is only ever Rich’s and Nutty’s own guess at his rank 2025-03-31 @ 01:43:49, @ 01:55:17, never confirmed by Jake as a second NPC. Treat this page and Fugly as almost certainly the same character until a future session clarifies otherwise.
